In SOMETHING FOR THE BOYS, three New York cousins - machinist Blossom (Vivian Blaine), showgirl Chiquita (Carmen Miranda), and con man Harry (Phil Silvers) - inherit Magnolia Manor, a Texas plantation. A charming family summer house, right? Wrong: This particular parcel is plagued by termites, taxes, and other troubles. Soon Sgt. Rocky Fulton (Michael O'Shea) from the nearby Army base makes them an offer they can't refuse: He'll convert the ramshackle old place into a home for Army wives. The Hart cousins still have to pay the bills until the place is ready to open... so they decide to put on a show! Of course things go awry along the way, with romantic and military complications, and other hijinx (Blossom begins to pick up radio transmissions via her fillings).
