In this classic from Academy Award-nominated writer Neil Simon (The Odd Couple, 1968), Broadway actress Georgia Hines (Marsha Mason, The Goodbye Girl) made a decision six years earlier to give up custody of her daughter, Polly (Kristy McNichol, TV's "Family"), in order to "straighten out her life." But now, just as Georgia is about to star in a play, Polly decides she's going to move in with her mother.
